The SBS ST water tank range offers water and liquid storage capacities from 3,170 gallons to an impressive 1,112,000 gallons. Tank panels comprising of Galvalume G300 steel, a continuous hot-dipped aluminium /zinc alloy-coated structural steel that is highly corrosion resistant in most applications, provides durable support for the steel panel tank body. NSF/ANSI 61 certified liners, that are suitable for storage of potable, effluence, leachate, saltwater, and other industrial liquids, prevent stored liquids from making direct contact with the steel water tank structure, further reducing corrosion risk factor. Our Standard Tanks (ST) are meticulously designed to suit a wide array of applications, from fire suppression systems to Ranch rainwater harvesting, these tanks offer you a robust solution for your water storage needs.

GENERAL:                                       The SBS Tanks  Standard (ST) Series tank is a commercial grade liquid storage solution                                                                 designed to provide a long life with little to no maintenance required by the owner. This                                                                     series is designed for use in areas where maximum wind load requirements do not exceed                                                               96 MPH. The ST series is the perfect choice for fire protection systems, raw water retention,                                                            effluent catchment and other commercial and industrial uses.

WALL STRUCTURE:                        Galvalume steel panels 22-9 total gauge (0.8-3.88mm) thickness conforming to ISO9364                                                                  and profiled to SBS Tanks® unique design.

 

STEEL GRADE:                                G300 Galvalume

PROTECTIVE COATING:                 Galvalume (Zinc/Aluminium Alloy), AZ 150 heavy duty coating. Additional coatings                                                                            available to meet varying environmental conditions and applications.

 

COLOR OPTIONS:                          Mill finish - silver, standard. All SBS Tanks can be supplied epoxy powder coated or painted                                                             with approved primers and paints.

 

ESTIMATED LIFE:                           60+ Years under normal climate and operational conditions.

 

INTERNAL LINER:                          Multi-layer woven PVC SBS 720g & 1000g liners are compliant with both NSF/ANSI 61

                                                        (potable water) and AS/NZS 4020-2005: Testing of Products for the Use in Contact with

                                                        Drinking Water Standards. Contact SBS for further details and enquire about our Ethylene-

                                                        based chemical resistant liners for storage of various liquids.

BOLT SPECIFICATIONS:               Proprietary SBS® bolt design M10(7/16") & M12(1/2") with serrated flange head. Hot dipped                                                           galvanized to ISO 1461:2022. All bolts are high tensile 8.8 grade. Bolt test certifications                                                                   available on request.

DOME ROOF:                                 Galvalume steel corrugated sheets 26 gauge (0.47mm) thick. G550 high tensile grade with                                                              AZ150 coating. All trusses are hot dipped galvanized after fabrication. Clear span self-                                                                     supporting roof with no center post.

INLETS & OUTLETS:                      All fittings/nozzles are manufactured from mild steel and hot dipped galvanized to ISO                                                                     1461:2009 after fabrication. Stainless steel and HDPE fittings are available on request.

 

WARRANTY:                                   SBS Tanks carry an industry standard 12-month workmanship and materials guarantee and                                                             a 10-year non-leak warranty is applicable provided the tank is installed by an approved                                                                    SBS installer.

 

WEATHER SPECIFICATIONS:       SBS Tanks are designed and suited for regions with varying incidence of meteorological

                                                        hazards. With standard wind ratings across our ranges, our SBS Tanks® can be individually

                                                        designed to suit earthquake zones, cyclonic regions, heavy industrial or highly specialized

                                                        environments.

MANUFACTURING TIME:              Standard range, ex stock, immediately available. Non-stock items typically, 4-6 weeks ex-                                                                factory, quantity and model dependent.

 

DELIVERY TIME:                            Typically, an additional 6-8 weeks. Sea freight time vary based on port & carriers capacity.

 

INSTALLATION TIME:                    Typically, but may vary based on site location and weather:

                                                        1 day - ST05/02, 5,280 gallons.

                                                        3 days - ST18/02,  66,040 gallons.

                                                        15 - 17 days ST31/09, 872,030 Gallons

 

SITE PREPARATION:                    Level site capable of supporting a 2,089 PSF (100kPa) with sand bed or concrete ring beam                                                           as required. Site preparations to be arranged by client in accordance with engineer’s                                                                       recommendations prior to installation of SBS Tanks.
